Sports

Our sports ministries are a great way to meet new people and an easy opportunity to help your friends and colleagues connect with the church.  If you don't see your sport of choice represented below and you'd like to trial a new sports initiative, we'd love to hear from you!

Football
Men's 11-a-side and 5-a-side

For more information see our Men's ministry page.

Women’s Football

This meets at 7.45pm on Trinity Fields, entrance on Beechcroft Rd, to warm up, practise our skills and have a short game ending at 8.45pm.  We are players of all levels, including beginners - an ideal way to start playing football! We also have a top coach with us and there is a small charge to cover the costs of venue and coach for the evening. Tea and cake (and optionally pub!) after. Do invite friends from St Mark's and beyond!

For more information please get in touch with Bev Green.

Golf

St Mark's golfers and their friends (of all abilities) get together for golf days 2-3 times per year. Next date: 28 December. Please contact Sylvia for more information, and to book.

Touch rugby

Men and women from several churches in SW London meet on a Saturday morning for a game of Touch Rugby on Wandsworth Common. They meet outside the Hope pub (Bellevue Road end) from 11am.  Everyone is welcome even if you've never thrown a rugby ball. You're welcome to play for 5 minutes or 2 hours; it's completely relaxed and social.

To get involved, have a chat with Damien Chew or Rajiv Jayaratnam; or check out the Facebook page.

Men's Boxing

For more information see our Men's ministry page.

Cycling

St Mark’s Velo is currently dormant. If you’re a keen cyclist and would like to pick up the mantle here, Mark Thomas would love to hear from you.

Skiing

Whether you're a keen skier, or a complete beginner, sign up now for the next St Mark's ski trip, 7-14 January 2017.

Looking to join a local sports club?

Wouldn't it be fantastic if Christians were a significant presence in all our local sports clubs in SW London!  If you're looking to find opportunities to play your sport locally, a very helpful website is Get Active London.
