Women @ St Mark's

We love it when the women at St Mark’s get together and we want to provide lots of ways to build friendships between us and to strengthen and encourage each other’s faith. Whatever age you are, whether you’re married or single, working inside or outside the home – we would love to encourage you to join in and get connected with some of the other wonderful women at St Mark’s.

Along with these opportunities listed below, there are other things for mums and babies/toddlers and social events in the evenings for younger people. Get in touch to find out more!

A Taste of Christmas

Join us on Thursday 6th December, 7.30-9.30pm, for an evening of crafts, creativity and festive treats.

Come and make homemade decorations, Christmas candles, cards and edible treats, or alternatively sign up for our Christmas wreath-making workshop. The evening will begin with cheese, wine, mince pies and other nibbles, and will also include a short talk about the meaning of Christmas.

Standard ticket - £10 + booking fee

Christmas wreath workshop - £20 + booking fee

Book now via Eventbrite.

Women’s Brunch

Once a term on Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm. A great opportunity to meet women from the other congregations, to spend a more relaxed time worshipping and praying together and taking a look at some hot topics and issues. Keep an eye on our events page for upcoming dates.

Women’s Staycation

Once a year we transform the church into a ‘women only’ space for 24 hours (Friday 6.30pm – Saturday 6.30pm). Hundreds of women gather for worship, teaching, seminars, creative activities, pampering and yummy food (including afternoon tea). It’s an event not to be missed!

Previous year's Staycation talks are available on our media page.

Women’s Midweek Groups

If you’re at home during the week we have a few morning groups - meeting on different days of the week and geared towards different ages and stages of life. Do get in touch if you would like to join one.

Women’s Football

This meets at 7.45pm on Trinity Fields, entrance on Beechcroft Rd, to warm up, practise our skills and have a short game ending at 8.45pm.  We are players of all levels, including beginners - an ideal way to start playing football! We also have a top coach with us and there is a small charge to cover the costs of venue and coach for the evening. Tea and cake (and optionally pub!) after. Do invite friends from St Mark's and beyond!
