Community outreach is right at the heart of the vision of St Mark's to help people come home to God, and as such there is a wide range of areas where St Mark's is reaching out into the local community.
These range from providing debt counselling to those who are in need (Christians Against Poverty); helping 16-24 yearr-olds into employment or further education through Spear; providing emergency food and support to local people in crisis through Wandsworth Foodbank, or working in Wandsworth prison and providing resettlement assistance for ex-offenders.
We host a youth cafe (Infuse) every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon; provide activities for carers and toddlers (Rise & Shine) on Wednesday and Thursday mornings; a bi-monthly lunch for single parents (Cheer). We also run a night shelter (Night Shelter) every Winter for the homeless, in collaboration with other local churches, and much more!
There are lots of ways you can serve your local community, and so do visit our serving opportunities page to discover the latest ways in which you can get involved.
