Hungry week of prayer and fasting
Sunday 21 - 27 January
Hungry Deeper Tuesday 23 Jan
Hungry week is an opportunity to create time and space to pray for God's breakthrough of glory in our lives, in the Church, and in the world! We invite you to join us in fasting in some way (food, tv, social media etc.), as an expression of our hunger for God and in order to focus more deliberately on seeking God's guidance and praying for breakthrough. During the week itself, we'll encourage you with a daily email with prayer points and prayer/fasting tips. See below for opportunities to come together in prayer.
Join us for a special whole-church evening of prayer for God’s glory to breakthrough in our lives, in St Mark’s and in the world!
School of Prayer & the Prophetic Saturday 27 January, 9.30am-12.30pm Special event exploring how to grow in prayer and the prophetic, led by guest speaker Bill Cahusac (Before joining Emmaus Road Bill was on the leadership of HTB and very involved in 24/7 prayer). Topics will include 'The Presence of God and Intimacy with God', 'The Purpose of Prophesy', 'How God Speaks and How We Hear' & 'Prophetic Practicalities'. All welcome. Find out more and book now here!
Prayer storm and walk Following the School of Prayer and Prophetic, all are welcome to join us in a 30 minute prayer storm for the community, with the option of then going out and praying round the community afterwards.
"The greatest enemy of hunger for God is not poison but apple pie. It is not the banquet of the wicked that dulls our appetite for heaven, but endless nibbling at the table of the world... simple pleasures of earth."
