Playing sport is a great way to meet new people, and help your friends connect with the church

Men and women from several churches in SW London meet on a Saturday morning for a game of Touch Rugby on Wandsworth Common. They meet outside the Hope pub (Bellevue Road end) from 11am.  Everyone is welcome even if you've never thrown a rugby ball. You're welcome to play for 5 minutes or 2 hours; it's completely relaxed and social.

To get involved, have a chat with Damien Chew or Rajiv Jayaratnam; or check out the Facebook page.

Looking to improve your fitness, de-stress from a busy day and enjoy camaraderie with a truly great bunch of guys? Our boxing gentlemen meet to train together every Thursday evening at 7pm for circuits and sparring. During the winter months we meet in Broomwood Hall Methodist Church. In the summer we train on Clapham Common. Injuries are rare and serious injuries are extremely rare, but boxing (like rugby) is a contact sport.

Anyone is welcome to join us for a trial session. Email Alan Aldridge to get involved.

  ⚽️ FOOTBALL ⚽️

Women’s Football

We meet on Thursday evenings at 7.45pm on Trinity Fields, Beechcroft Rd, SW17 7DF to warm up, practise our skills and have a short game.  We are players of all levels, including beginners - an ideal way to start playing football! We also have a top coach with us and there is a small charge (£10) to cover the costs of the coach for the evening. Tea and cake (and optionally pub!) after. Do invite friends from St Mark’s and beyond!

For more information please get in touch with Beverly Green.

Men’s 11-a-side

The “Battersea Power” football team is a competitive team for those who want a more serious football commitment. Matches are on most Saturdays from September to April, typically starting at 1pm. Home games are played at Clapham Common.

To get involved, email Aymeric du Bouchet. To see how we've been getting on this season, click here.

Men’s 5-a-side

For a more casual men’s football experience, come and join us on Thursday evenings from 8-9pm for 5-a-side at the gloriously flood-lit Battersea Sports Centre.

You need to sign up in advance, so if you’re interested then email St Mark’s to get in touch with James, Stu, Josh and Oscar who are all fairly accomplished at setting out cones and going to the pub.
